Sonic branding agency
Our sonic branding agency makes the sounds people recognize your brand by, such as a sonic logo and a brand theme. We work for brands and for the agencies that work for them.
- Scope
- From one sonic logo to a full identity
- Where it plays
- Commercials, videos, apps, stores, podcasts, and more
- Agencies we work with
- DEPT, Lava, Studio Dumbar, and others
Some of what a sonic identity can include
Start with the sonic logo and the brand theme. If people also hear you in an app or in your stores, add the guidelines. They tell every agency how to use the sound.
Sonic logo
A few seconds of sound that stands for your brand. It plays at the end of your commercials, when your app opens, and wherever else people meet your brand. If you already have a brand theme, we make the sonic logo from it.
Brand theme
A full piece of music for your campaigns and events. The sonic logo comes from the same melody, so people recognize one when they hear the other.
Audio guidelines
A short document that tells everyone who makes something for your brand where the sonic logo goes and how loud it plays.
Voice direction
Advice on which voice fits your brand and how it sits with the music.
Wherever else people hear you
Once the sonic logo and the theme exist, the same notes can go into anything new your brand does. Ask us about your next channel.

How we find your sound
Step 1
Brief
We ask where people hear your brand and what it stands for. Your team can answer, or the agency that works for you.
Step 2
Direction
Before we write a note, we work out what people should feel when they hear your brand. Then we send directions as short demos, with reference tracks so you hear what we mean, and you choose the one that fits.
Step 3
Composition
We write and produce the sonic logo and the brand theme from that direction. You hear versions along the way, and minor changes are part of the work.
Step 4
Delivery
We deliver the final files in every version your channels need, and the guidelines when you add them.
Step 5
Support
When you add a channel or a campaign changes, we make the new versions.
Questions about sonic branding
Who are the top sonic branding agencies?
Ask to hear their sounds in use, ideally one sound carried across several campaigns. For Bol, the largest online store in the Netherlands and Belgium, we rearranged the sonic logo with live instruments for a campaign built on a song from the 1970s, and the melody stayed. To plan the budget, see sonic branding cost, then send us your brief.
Can you give me an example of sonic branding?
Press play at the top of this page. That's the orchestral sonic identity we made for Cinema in Concert, together with motion design studio Lava. It opens their live film concerts and runs online. For Vodafone Germany we made the complete audio of the TV and online campaign for FamilyCards, its family phone plan.
How can I create a sonic logo?
Start with a brief: where people hear your brand and what it should feel like. Before we write a note, we work out what your audience should feel and translate that into musical choices. We send a few short directions to choose from, and once you pick one, we produce the sonic logo and the brand theme from it.
How do I choose a sonic branding agency?
Listen to their work first, then ask how they get from your brief to a sound. We send short demos with reference tracks, so you hear the direction before anything is final. Brands work with us directly, and so do agencies like DEPT, Lava, and Studio Dumbar. Hear our work and request a proposal.
How do you create a sonic identity for a brand?
We start with what your brand stands for and where people hear it. From there we compose the sonic logo and the brand theme from the same melody, so people recognize one when they hear the other. Then we write guidelines for using the sound in every new campaign.
How do you develop a sonic branding strategy?
Begin with your audience. We look at who you want to reach and what they should feel, and connect that to musical choices like tempo, instruments, and melody. That decides the direction before we compose, so the sound fits your brand from the first demo. Send us your brief to start.
