A few jobs agencies bring us

The edit is in and the music isn't

Send us the cut: we write to picture, so the music follows the edit and the hits land where the video needs them. We also do the sound design and the final mix, so nothing gets lost between parties.

The client already has a sonic logo

We fit it to the campaign. We rearrange the logo and record it with the instruments of the track, so it keeps its melody and sounds like part of the same music.

The client needs a sound of their own

Start with where people hear the brand most. For TV and online, a sonic logo and one brand theme usually cover it. With an app, stores, or a podcast, agree first on how the sound is used, so the brand sounds the same whichever agency makes the next campaign.

It's a cutdown or a short video

Social cutdowns and short corporate videos are welcome. Ask for the rate card to see what fits the budget.

Outside advertising

Agencies also bring us work outside advertising, such as the virtual flight that Boldly-XR built for Xpeng. Whatever the brief is, send it over.

Work with agencies

Work for and contributions to projects involving these brands, made together with their agencies.

How a job runs

Step 1

Brief

Send a short brief with the edit and the deadline.

Step 2

Direction

Before we write anything, we look at the proposition, the audience, and the feeling the spot has to leave. For Vodafone Germany's campaign for FamilyCards, its family phone plan, the feeling was connection and independence, so we gave the music a firm rhythm. Then we send demos or references, and you choose one with your client.

Step 3

Production

We compose and produce, and bring in session players when the track needs live instruments. Minor changes along the way don't count as review rounds.

Step 4

Mix and delivery

The final mix to picture, in every length the campaign uses.

Step 5

Support

New edits and cutdowns when the campaign runs longer or moves to new channels.

Questions from agencies

Can you work to a tight deadline?

Yes. Short deadlines come with agency work, so we're used to them and the studio is set up for them. Send the brief and the edit, and you'll hear what we can deliver and when.

Can you write something like our reference track?

Yes. Send the reference and tell us what the client likes about it, such as the tempo or the instruments. We write original music with that feel, so the campaign has a track of its own.

Can you work with our director and editor?

Yes. We write and mix to the edit you send. On a fashion film for the clothing brand Banlieue and a campaign for Karl Lagerfeld, we worked closely with the director.

Can we join the sessions?

Yes, you and your client can sit in on the sessions in our studio, or listen in and review remotely.

Can you record the voice-over too?

Yes, in our own studio, in a rented studio, or on location when the job needs it. Some clients fly us in to record it on site.

Do you work with agencies outside the Netherlands?

Yes, with international agencies and brands, and you can review remotely.

Can you work under our agency's name?

Sometimes, depending on the project. Get in touch and tell us about the job.
