Sonic logo cost
Sonic logo cost at Dutch Sound Works starts at €3,500, excluding VAT. The final price depends on where the logo will play, how big it should sound, whether we record musicians, and how many directions you want to compare. You see that price in the proposal before we start.

A few things that change the price
Your logo plays in more than one place
The end of a commercial, an online video, the start of a podcast: each place gets its own version, mixed for how people hear it there. More places mean more versions, and that can show in the price.
You want it to sound big
An orchestral logo with heavy percussion usually takes more writing and production than a few notes on a piano. The Cinema in Concert identity in the video at the top is orchestral, written for a film concert that needed a big opening.
You want live musicians on it
Bol, the largest online store in the Netherlands and Belgium, built a campaign around a song from the 1970s. We rearranged its sonic logo with live piano, drums, guitar, and bass to fit the song. Booking and recording musicians like that can add to the price.
You want to compare directions first
Comparing a few directions before you choose can take more time. It can also save a round later, because you pick by listening to demos instead of describing what you want. For Cinema in Concert we worked out one around piano and one for orchestra, and the orchestral one won.
More than a logo
Once you add a brand theme, music for your events, or a full set of sounds for an app, you're looking at a sonic identity, from €7,500 excluding VAT. We also make campaign music, sound design, and more.

How it works
Step 1
Send us your brief
Start with where the logo will play and any animation it goes with. Someone from our team replies with a proposal and the price.
Step 2
Demos to choose from
You hear short demos and pick the direction that fits. Your agency or motion designer can listen along, so you sign off on the sound and the animation at the same time.
Step 3
The logo in every version
We finish the logo and mix a version for each place it plays. You get final files in every format you need.
Questions about sonic logo prices
How much does a sonic logo cost?
At our studio, from €3,500 excluding VAT. Price guides online give very different numbers, so for budget planning ask for our rate card, or request a proposal for the price of your logo.
Is there a sonic logo cost calculator?
There isn't one, because the price comes from the choices further up this page, like how many places the logo plays and whether we record musicians. Put those in your brief and send it over.
Why don't agencies publish their sonic logo prices?
Every logo is custom, and the scope moves the price a lot. We give a starting point anyway, €3,500 excluding VAT, so you can see whether we're within your budget before you write a brief. When you're ready, someone from our team turns your brief into a proposal.
What should a sonic logo brief include?
Where people will hear the logo, how the brand should feel, any animation or music it has to fit, your deadline, and a budget range if you have one. A reference or two helps us hear the feeling you're after. Send us your brief.
Is a cheap sonic logo worth it?
Not if it has to carry your brand. Other brands can use the same template sounds, and a quick tune written without versions in mind is hard to adapt, so you end up paying for a second logo. We write yours from your brief, with a melody we can rearrange for the next campaign. Ask us for a proposal.
Do I need a sonic logo or a full sonic identity?
If people mostly meet your brand in ads and videos, a sonic logo is enough to start, and a brand theme can follow later on the same melody. If you also want music for events or a full set of sounds for an app, a sonic identity covers all of it, from €7,500 excluding VAT. Read more on our sonic identity agency page, or ask us which one suits your brand.
Is a sonic logo worth the money?
Yes, when people hear it often. Deutsche Telekom shows how long that can last: it has used the same five notes since 1999 and kept them when it updated its sound in 2020. Send us a list of where people hear your brand now, and we'll tell you whether a logo pays off for you.
