Sound design cost at Dutch Sound Works starts at €750, excluding VAT. The final price depends on how much sound the project needs, whether we record sounds for it, and how many versions and mixes you need.

A few things that can change the price
A short spot or a long film
Sound design for Vodafone Germany's short TV commercial is a different job from the two-and-a-half-minute film for Banlieue, a clothing brand. Longer pieces can add to the price.
Sounds recorded for the project
Recording sounds specially for the project, on location or in the studio, is priced on top.
A mix for a room or a headset
Sound for an installation or VR needs a spatial mix. We made one for Xpeng's virtual flight over Shanghai, and a mix like that makes the job bigger.
Music in the same project
When the project also needs original music, the proposal prices both together. Music for a commercial starts at €1,250 on its own.
Voice-over and social versions
We can also record the voice-over and cut shorter versions for social, priced in the same proposal. Put those, and any other audio you need, in your brief.

One mix at the end
The effects, the music, and the voice-over are mixed together at the end, and nothing has to be fixed between studios.
Before you send it
You can brief us remotely or plan a session in our studio to hear the sounds on your picture. Either way, put anything you'd like in your proposal request.

Sounds on your picture
We design the first sounds on your edit and send them for your notes.
Step 3
Mixed and delivered
We finish the sound design, mix it with the music and the voice, and deliver a version for every place it plays.

How much does it cost to hire a sound engineer?
A mix on its own depends on the length and the number of versions. We usually include it with the sound design, which starts at €750 excluding VAT. Request a proposal with your edit.
