The brief
Jimmy is a Dutch horror feature film directed by David Jan Bronsgeest. The score had to carry the tension, threat, and unpredictability of the story, and give some characters a musical identity of their own.
What we did
We were part of a team of composers and sound designers led by music director Michiel Marsman. Our part was scoring several scenes and writing leitmotifs: short musical themes that come back whenever a certain character does.
Listen for
Listen for the character themes. You may not notice them consciously, but they shape how you feel about a character, sometimes before the story tells you anything.
